Girly (ガーリー) is the name of a Japanese fashion characterized by girlish details such as plenty of frills, lace, gathers, playful prints, and an overall soft atmosphere. In order to differinate the style from the adjective, it is mainly refered to as Girly Kei in international spaces.
Difference to feminine styles
The term "feminine" refers especially to mature fashions that are conscious of adult women. Being a lot more toned down, feminine outfits feature simple clothes without playful details
