Overview
Ice type (こおりタイプ, kōri taipu) is a type in the Pokémon series. Pokémon may have one to two types, and one type is always a technique.
The affinity of the type is one of the factors that determine the advantage or disadvantage of the battle.
This is one of the types that have appeared since the first generation.
The characteristics that fall into the category of the Ice type include those that live in snowy mountains and glaciers, those made of snow and ice, and those that are cold anyway. Overall, the appearance tends to be biased with quite a few of them having a white or blue color scheme, but if they are cold, they can be included from organisms to minerals and even machines, so there is a rich diversity in appearance.
