About

Something of a sub-heroine in the scenario; Ishut's flunky. She calls Ishut "Aniki".

She has a cat's ears and tail, but she's not cosplaying. Just as her class name "Cait Sith" suggests, she is a fairy that resembles a black cat, a beastwoman.

Incidentally, the white mark on Pinger's forehead would be on the chest of an actual cait sidhe from Irish mythology.

Her first-person pronoun is pretty masculine, but her speech pattern is otherwise very polite. She follows Ishut's lead despite having a much calmer personality than his. Since her Aniki is always playing the funny man, she takes up the role of straight man and teases him joyfully. Sometimes she makes cat puns.

She knows how to pick locks.

In the official audio dramas, there exists a rumor that she and Ishut take baths together.

Spoilers

Pinger was originally a human street urchin kidnapped by Tracey Cormack. She was changed into a beastperson in Tracey's alchemy experiments. In other words, Pinger is a chimera.

However, Tracey was a merchant who only wanted to make "wares that don't exist in the natural world", so when Tracey discovered that beastpeople really existed, she abandoned Pinger.

The young Pinger, who had lost her home and was bullied by other children for her strange appearance, was rescued by Ishut and stayed with him from that time onward.

However, she holds a strong grudge against Tracey for kidnapping her, experimenting on her, and abandoning her. She says that Tracey "killed the human me".

Series Relations

青空と君と

When it comes to cat-eared girls who play the straight man and call themselves "Boku", some DHE fans may be starting to get a sense of déjà vu. If you are among them, it's not your imagination.

Basically, Pinger is the successor of Rose R. Crawford from Riviera: The Promised Land.
