About
A swordsman from Karona, a territory of Fantasinia. Called the "Astral Fencer" (officially) or the "Fail Fencer" (by fans). He starts out as an enemy character, but if the right conditions are met he will join the party in Chapter 4. The conditions are somewhat strict.
His class is "Fencer" and his weapon is the sword. He is invulnerable to electricity, but other than that he and Yggdra have the same abilities. To add insult to injury, after Yggdra is crowned, she far surpasses him statistically. His special Skill is "Item Break". As the name would imply, it destroys the enemy's equipped item, but if you're going out of your way to destroy it you might as well steal it with Milanor or make the enemy drop it. So Russell usually spends the game on the bench.
He is the only allied character with a fiancée, and hates milk.
